The 11th Annual Florida Smash will take place in Orlando, Florida from November 11th to 13th, 2011 at the International Palms Resort. The event is organised annually by the Florida Accordion Association, President Karen Adam.
This year the 11th Annual Florida Smash will feature guest artists Kim and Dan Christian, Venanzio Cipollitti, Tony Lovello, Walter Kasprzyk.
Additional performers include: Dave Mussatto, Bob & Anita Siarkowski, Nancy Leonard, Barbara St. Denis, Linda Ann Warren, Donna Dee Ray, Carmen Vitanza, Dick Richards, Jerry Tramontozzi, Wacek Koneczny, and MORE ! Dealer displays galore, and the famous Friday night Cafe Accordeon hosted by Alvaro Barsi.
Events include:
Friday, November 11th: The famous Café Accordeon, hosted by Alvaro “Beaver” Barsi, 4:30 – 2:00 a.m. in the hotels’ Front Street Café. Anyone may play. Food is available for purchase until 9 PM, beverages available for purchase until 2:00 a.m. Snacks provided. Accordion orchestra rehearsal – time TBA. Dealer displays are open.
Saturday, November 12th: registration desk & dealer displays open 8:30 a.m. The day includes professional accordion performances, lunch & dinner, accordion orchestra performance, the grand evening concert, and 50/50 raffles. After the close of the evening concert, accordionists will congregate in the Front Street Café for jamming, and more accordion fun. Lunch & dinner buffet Saturday with accordion entertainment.
Sunday, November 13th: 9:00 am: Optional breakfast and accordion concert by Jerry Tramontozzi, dealer displays open before & after breakfast. Breakfast buffet.
