The 2024 AAA Festival was jam packed with all types of accordion music and accordionists. There truly was something for everyone. It was wonderful to note how much the children enjoyed the presentations. And, it was encouraging to hear their wonderful performances.

What I particularly enjoyed and am proud of is how friendly and respectful everyone was of participants varying abilities and specific interests. I was so happy to see that people were willing to share their expertise, experiences, and love of the accordion. The exhibit room gave accordionists the
opportunity to try out and learn about about the different brands of accordion, again, all in a collegial and non competitive environment. The luncheons and gala dinner were delightful and delicious! Hearing some of our favorite accordionists helped to enhance the experience.

Featured performers included Joseph Natoli, Nikolay Bine, Hanzhi Wang, and
Dallas Vietty

I strongly suggest that if you have never attended an AAA Accordion Festival or, perhaps, had not been to one in a few years, please consider joining us next year. I have attended AAA Festivals for many many years and always come away learning new things about the accordion and making new friends who love to share their accordion stories.

This year’s festival featured several concerts and dining experiences

• Friday’s Kickoff Luncheon with Nikolay Bine and Dallas Vietty
• Friday’s Pasta Night with Frank Busso Sr, Frank Busso Jr, Dee Langley, and others
• Friday’s Gala Concert featuring Hanzhi Wang and Joe Natoli
• Saturday’s Luncheon with Nikolay Bine and the Westmont Philharmonia Accordion Orchestra led by Joanna Darrow
• Saturday’s Awards Concert with trophy presentations and lots of music
• Saturday’s Cocktail Reception & Gala Banquet, featuring Don Gerundo, Trio Called Leonard (with Dallas Vietty on accordion), & the AAA Festival Orchestra conducted by Frank Busso Sr.
• Finally, Sunday’s farewell breakfast and open meeting will be a great opportunity to review this
year’s festival and to discuss future AAA endeavors throughout Friday and Saturday, our Exhibit Room included Ernest Deffner Affiliates, JANPress Music, and Music Magic USA, and to learn more about
AAA’s rich history.

Our Friday workshops were led by Nikolay Bine and Dee Langley. On Saturday, Dallas Vietty and Joe Natoli presented workshops. For our new-to-the-accordion adult hobbyists we welcomed AAA’s Beginner Adult Band, led by the ever-friendly Joanna Darrow.
Interested in a jam session or open mic? Don Gerundo hosted a fun filled event. The Gala Concert featured the 2024 AAA Festival Orchestra led by Frank Busso, Sr. and the group, Trio Called Leanard with accordionist Dallas Vietty.

The AAA invites you all to become an AAA member for the first time or to renew your membership which will help you stay up to date on accordion events and helps to fund AAA events and projects. The AAA will announce the date and location of the 2025 AAA Festival in future USA News publications.

In the meantime, enjoy reading and listening to the Daily Reports of the 2024 AAA Festival activities, concerts, exhibits and workshops at: 2024AAA86th
