Looking to attend an amazing accordion event on the North American continent? Plan to attend the 66th Coupe Mondiale and the 130th CIA International General Assembly of Delegates Congress in Victoria, B.C., Canada, hosted by CIA member, the BC Accordion Society.
Pre-Coupe Mondiale events will be held on August 17 and 18, and the Coupe Mondiale will be held from the 19-25 August, 2013.

Aug 18 – The top four orchestras of the International Competition of the Accordion Orchestras
Aug 19 – Alexander Sevastian, Jelena Milojevic, Ballet Victoria, Vox Humana Choir, Emily Carr String Quartet
Aug 20 – “World Accordion Orchestra VII”, Trio Voronezh, Aczent Duo, the winning orchestra from the International Competition of the Accordion Orchestras
Aug 21 – Ludovic Beier, Renzo Ruggieri, Cory Pesaturo
Aug 22 – Roland V- Accordion Canada National Finals plus concert of all Grand Prize winners from the previous Canada Roland V-Accordion National Contests, plus Ludovic Beier (France).
Aug 23 – Coupe Mondiale Final Round
Aug 24 – Concert of the Winners of the 66th Coupe Mondiale plus special performance by the Esse Quintet (winners of the 65th Coupe Mondiale in Italy).
This will only be the second time ever that the Coupe Mondiale has been held on Canadian soil (Toronto in 1964) and CIA is more than excited for this great opportunity to promote it’s activities in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Victoria, B.C.
The BC Accordion Society is thrilled to announce one of the highest prize budgets ever, with over $50,000 in money prizes, instruments and awards. You are also encouraged to be in the audience for the International Competition of Accordion Orchestras, that will be organized as a part of the Victoria International Accordion Festival, prior to the CIA event, with impressive awards, too.
The organizers are also excited to announce that. thanks to the generosity of one anonymous donor, twenty eligible contestants will receive a scholarship of $300 towards their travel expenses. For full eligibility, please contact organizers directly.
