The Lord’s Prayer composed by Albert Hay Malotte is one of the most famous musical settings of the biblical prayer from Matthew 6:9–13. Composed in 1935, it became the first widely popular version of the prayer set to music.

Malotte dedicated the piece to John Charles Thomas, a baritone whose radio performances helped introduce it to the public. Written firstly for solo voice and piano/organ and since then has often been performed by baritones, tenors, and sopranos.

This musical setting of the biblical prayer has been performed by many notable singers over the years.
