November 30 and December 1st saw the Dargaville Museum become the epicenter of accordion activities as dignitaries, performing artists and guests assembled from as far afield as Italy, China, the United Kingdom, Australia, the USA and across New Zealand to a hall fully sold out over 10 days in advance of the concert.

The event included a the presentation of the NZAA Merit Award for services to the accordion in New Zealand and internationally to Crystal Wang, Executive Secretary of the China Accordion Association: https://accordions.news/crystal-wang-nzaa-merit-award/ and NZAA Honored Friend of the Accordion award to Margaret Tier for her services to the accordion in NZ: https://accordions.news/margaret-tier/
