Nick was widely recognized as a respected dealer and great accordion player, known for his profound knowledge and unwavering passion for accordions. His remarkable dedication to the accordion community and his relentless efforts to provide musicians with exceptional instruments earned him great admiration in the industry.
Throughout our interactions with Nick, we were privileged to share memorable moments together. One such cherished memory is the photograph capturing him alongside Flaco Jimenez in 2010.(photo down) During this difficult time, we stand with the Ballarini family and all those who were fortunate enough to have their lives touched by Nick’s remarkable contributions. His presence and influence in the accordion world will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.”
Matt Tolentino with Alex Meixner and Nick Ballarini said, “Got the news today of the passing of Nick Ballarini, accordionist extraordinaire, and a good friend, especially in the accordion world. Nick helped me out a lot with everything from repairs, to sales of accessories and entire accordions, and helped introduce me to the larger world of the accordion. And often times you could have looked at him as the world’s oldest thirteen year old, as he was always good for a laugh, and I’m glad I had some good times with him. Play on. The picture is from the National Accordion Association convention in Richardson, TX back around 2005. That’s Nick on the right with the awesome mustache.”(Photo up)
