Featured Soloist Gia Ciccone Receives DeBellis School Music Scholarship

Featured Soloist Gia Ciccone at Accordion Pops Spring Concert received “The DeBellis School of Performing Arts Music Scholarship”. The recent Accordion Pops Orchestra Concert, conducted by Al Terzo, was held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 3:PM at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center 721 Cranberry Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

The concert was dedicated to the memory of the late Eugene DeBellis. Mr. DeBellis, Assistant conductor of the Pops Orchestra contributed significantly to the Accordion world. His widow, Lorraine, also attended as well as daughter Cindy and her family who presented soloist Gia Ciccone, with “The DeBellis School of Performing Arts Music Scholarship” and a check for $100 after her outstanding performance of “Hungarian Dance #4” and “Two Guitars” played on her Titano Accordion. Gia is the first student Accordionist to receive this honor.
