The audience at the September meeting of the Washington Metropolitan Accordion Society was treated to a very special performance by Guest Artist Frank Petrilli and surprise guest, jazz great, Eddie Monteiro.

The gifted duo dazzled the audience with their beautiful music, which was totally unrehearsed. Los Angeles based jazz accordionist, Frank Petrilli, performed on his new Petosa. (see article on Frank Petrilli in Accordion USA, September, 2014). New Jersey’s Eddie Monteiro plays a very special midi accordion with a 3-4 octave bass range. Only eight of these instruments were ever made. Eddie recently played on Broadway in a production of “Evita” and in Massachusetts with Chita Rivera.
