AAA and ATG Board of Director and Ambassador for the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), Kevin Friedrich will give a presentation in Shanghai as part of 7th International Culture and Arts Week and Shanghai Spring Accordion Festival.
Kevin who serves as Director of the CIA initiative, the World Accordion Museum Alliance (WAMA), will begin by giving an introduction to this group before his feature presentation called “Variations on a Theme” by C. Demian.
The presentation will follow some of the interesting developments in the evolution of the accordion which has seen uncountable variations in shape, size and keyboard configurations over almost 200 years.
A regular guest at the Shanghai Spring Accordion Festival, Kevin is joined by other members of the CIA Executive Team and guest artists from around the world. The festival will run from 30 March – 6 April, 2025 in various locations throughout Shanghai.
