The ATG is proud to announce that 2024 Susan Wadsworth International Auditions winner and ATG World Cup champion, Radu Ratoi, will be a featured guest artist at the 2025 ATG Festival!
The Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, renowned for identifying and investing in musicians of “exceptional caliber” (The New York Times), features some of the finest young musicians from around the world.
Radu’s distinguished career in the classical world has brought him to concert halls all over the globe. Radu will perform at the 2025 ATG Festival on Friday evening July 18th, 2025.
Out of 170+ applicants, Radu – being the only accordionist competing – and 36 other artists were selected to advance to the semi-final round. From there, Radu, along with 11 others, continued to the finals where he and pianist Kiron Tellian were selected as the two winners.
In his stellar career as a soloist, Radu has performed in some of the most famous concert halls in the world: Berlin Philharmonic, Radio Concert House Copenhagen, Victoria Concert Hall, Tivoli Hall Copenhagen, Aram Khachaturian’s Concert Hall in Yerevan, Harbin Concert Hall, and many others. He has won countless competitions, prizes, and awards and continues to show what the accordion is capable of with his originality, versatility, and virtuosity in classical and contemporary repertoire.
