Yoshi’s, the popular East Bay nightclub and restaurant, is finally reopened after a lengthy pandemic-induced hiatus. The venue is currently offering free live performances Thursdays through Sundays for patrons with dinner reservations. The performance slate features the virtuosic duo of Rob Reich and bassist Daniel Fabricant on Friday, May 7, 2021.Reich, who in August released an album featuring clarinetist Ben Goldberg, Fabricant and others, has gained praise for his facility as an accordion player with the highly lauded Tin Hat Trio, local favorite Circus Bella and other projects, as well as for his skills as a jazz keyboard artist and composer for local ensembles, including Gaucho Jazz.
The venue recently unveiled a newly designed stage inside the dining area, as COVID restrictions keep its traditional performance space off-limits.
