Texas Folklife Announces Finalists for the Annual Big Squeeze Accordion Contest

Texas Folklife and the Bullock Texas State History Museum ( 1800 Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78701) are pleased to announce that the Finals for the annual Big Squeeze accordion contest will take place at the museum on Saturday, May 14, 2022. The event is free and open to the public and will take place inside the museum in the first-floor lobby, under the grand rotunda. Big Squeeze finalists will perform before the judges and the public and Grand Prize Winners across 4 musical genres will be announced. The event will feature performances by Polka star Alex Meixner and Dallas’ Los Morales, including former Big Squeeze Winners Nachito Morales and Michael Ramos!

Big Squeeze finalists will perform before the judges and the public and Grand Prize Winners across 4 genres will be announced. Featuring special performances from Polka star Alex Meixner and Dallas’ Los Morales, featuring former Big Squeeze Winners Nachito Morales and Michael Ramos.
