Will Holshouser and Rob Curto Perform for Starry Nights at New York Botanical Garden

August 1st 2025

This is the third week The Creswell Club is playing for the New York Botanical Garden’s Starry Nights event! It’s a pretty magical event: French music, a theater troupe, dancers, cocktails, lots of flowers, and an amazing drone show at the end of the night.

Will Holshouser and Creswell Club

The Creswell Club is a constellation of musicians who specialize in music that makes life better. They are rooted in jazz standards and music from the 1920s, but are experts at branching out playing everything from swing to bossa nova, Motown to the Rat Pack, Edith Piaf to Lana Del Rey. They play hard, dress well and enjoy what they do. The group consists of anything from a duo to a septet—and, because several of their members are multi-instrumentalists, they offer guitar, piano, bass, drums, sax, trumpet, clarinet, banjo, accordion, and vocals.

Rob Curto

Performances this week: Friday and Saturday including two 40-minute sets, 7:10 and 8:10 PM:
8/1, with accordionist Will Holshouser, Matt Koza and Rob Adkins
8/2, with Dan Martin, Jay Rattman and accordionist Rob Curto

Within and around NYBG’s iconic Conservatory, find yourself surrounded by the botanical beauty that inspired Van Gogh. Wander through a breathtaking lawn of real sunflowers, and snap photos in front of blooming recreations of the artist’s works.

Conditions permitting, the nighttime experience concludes with a celebration of Van Gogh’s iconic The Starry Night featuring a 10-minute illuminated drone show finale sparkling above—the first of its kind at a cultural institution in New York City.
