William Schimmel and Elliott Sharp Release Newest Album

Longtime collaborators accordionist Dr. William Schimmel and multi-instrumentalist Elliott Sharp have released their newest album, “Lowdown”. They met again in the studio for a set of improvisations originating in the lower frequencies of the audio spectrum. “Lowdown” is available for $9 as a Digital Album, Streaming + Download Including unlimited streaming via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Sharp’s polymathic talents stretch from composing to improvising to instrument building. The two make gnarly music, engaging but simultaneously bending or breaking the rules.

solo work based on the Music of Berlioz – Bard College – New York
(BTW – Berlioz was his Doctoral Dissertation at Juilliard in 1970)

3. Oct. 16: Sunview Luncheonette – Brooklyn New York
4. November 18: solo concert at Bruno Walter Auditorium – Lincoln Center

Dr. Schimmel is part of the music team for the film, “Halmoni’s Pot” by A. Lauren Lee, now in Seven Film Festivals and winner of Three Awards from the NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival and Two Audience Choice Awards from DisOrient FF and Vera Beach FF.
