Rob Howard announces the release of his new book: “Accordion Anthology 2” which presents a variety of articles and biographies aimed at the accordion enthusiast.

This hardback includes 375 photos, and includes autobiographical articles written by Gary Blair, Julie Best, Gina Brannelli, Jean Corrighan, Maro Conway, Dave Cormack, Jean Hanger, Roy Hendrie, Brian Forrest, Nigel Pasby, Seamus O’Sullivan, Karen Street, Karen Tweed, Bert Santiily, Gordon Shand and Robert Whitehead. The book also includes tribute articles to Yvette Horner, Harry Hussey, Dermot O’Brien, George Syrett and Charlie Watkins. Rob Howard has played the accordion since 1968. At present, he is the concert secretary, compere and ‘public voice’ of Stockport Accordion Club. He has played in a folk group, in accordion bands, entertained in restaurants and for French-themed evenings, has performed in musicals, has accompanied Irish step-dancing and Polish dancing, has been a member of a Bavarian Oompah Band, played in several ceilidh bands, and leads ‘wartime sing-a-alongs’ at Stockport Air-Raid Shelters.

Rob Howard was Editor of www.accordions.com for 15 years until his recent retirement. For over 20 years he has contributed articles and reviews to specialist music magazines, and above all, is an enthusiast for the accordion.
