Brooklyn Accordion Club in Holiday Concert on December 3rd

The Brooklyn Accordion Club presents their Holiday Concert Program on Sunday, Dec 3, 2017 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at 61 Local (61 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY. It is open to Public Admission: $10.00 ($5.00 for the concert participants).Cash only. Light refreshments will be served.

The program MC’d by Blythe Bonnaffons includes the following performers: Tony Simulinas, John DiPinto, Barry Polinsky (Harmonica), Robert Duncan and Mayumi Miyaoka (Tentacles of Bachtopus Accordion Ensemble), “Papa” Joe De Clemente and Orquesta de Cabeceo Tango Ensemble.

Ivan Filipchik will be the special guest accordionist. He is a New York based musician and artist, graduate from Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. He acquired his background in Belarus and Russia, countries with rich musical history traditions and well establish education in music and arts. Ivan took part in various competitions and gave recitals performing on stages of some European countries, Russiam Japan, USA and Canada. His repertoire varies from Baroque music to contemporary compositions.

The Brooklyn Accordion Club “Mega” Ensemble directed by conductor Denise Koncelik will play Sing-along Holiday Tunes including “Jingle Bells”, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, “Hanukkah Dreydl”, “Silent Night” and “Feliz Navidad”.

Founded in 2013, The Brooklyn Accordion Club aims to build a community of accordion players of all levels and admirers in the heart of Brooklyn.This is a very special and fun filled way to celebrate and enjoy the holiday season.
