Fire and Ice, New Norwegian Music & Concert Tour

Fire and Ice, hot new music from the Norwegian Fjords and the Colorado Rockies, hosted by composer Bjorn Bolstad Skjelbred (Oslo),

The Fire and Ice Concert will include three world premieres by Norwegian composers: Bjorn Bolstad Skjelbred, Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen and Colorado-based composer Conrad Kehn.

Composer Skjelbred will fly in from Oslo to be Master of Ceremonies. Conrad Kehn has created a new silent film with live music which will be premiered. Included will be a solo by Magnar Am.

The world premiere works have been composed especially for the performers: Cincinnati-based cellist Michael Gilbert Ronstadt, guitarist Eric Despard and accordionist Rocco Anthony Jerry.

The Fire and Ice Tour spans three states: New York, Vermont and Massachusetts, and extends from April 21 to April 24, 2017.

The concerts will include:
Bjorn Bolstad Skjelbred- “as the wind behaves” for Accordion, Cello and Guitar (world premiere)
Torstein Aagaard-Nilsen – “Musical Doodles II” for Accordion and Cello (world premiere)
Conrad Kehn – “Soundtracks to Movies that Don’t Exist” for Accordion, Cello, Guitar and Video (world premiere)
Magnar Am – “A Breath of Air” for Accordion (US Premiere)
Bjorn Bolstad Skjelbred – “Five Preludes” for Guitar
Bjorn Bolstad Skjelbred – “ConVergEnce” for Accordion and Cello

All concerts are free and open to the general public.
