This year at Rhythmix Cultural Works, Jet Black Pearl is proud to be accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Charles Moselle, a true master in the art of beat boxing, keyboards, saxophone and flute. Charles Moselle is a multi-instrumentalist (piano, saxophones, flutes, drums,) and composer, known for his unusual vocal stylings and bizarre theatrical characterizations (mongolian beatboxing, zombie operettas,etc.). He attended Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and California Institute of the Arts. Charles has performed with Robin Williams, Stan Getz, Frank Sinatra Jr., Bobby McFerrin, Stanley Clarke, Eddie Henderson, and many others.

Tex-Americana artist, Tara Linda (accordion, bass, ukulele), dug her heels deeper into Southwestern soil to serve up more festive fair with her new band called Fistful of Stars.Tara and Rafael play acoustic border serenades with a tortilla western twist; fresh, fun takes on traditional Latin favorites; plus a plethora of new cumbias, haupangos, rancheras, polkas, and wildwest tunes that will make you forget which side of the border you’re on! Fistful of Stars offers lots of original music between this songwriting duo: stellar vocal harmonies, dancing energy, and bilingual vocals alongside bass, trumpet, and percussion.
Whiskey and Women is an all-woman trio featuring not one but TWO accordion babes! Renee de la Prade and Joan Wilson Rueter will perform alongside Rosemary Steffy flaunting accordions, fiddles, drums, foot stomps, bluesy harmonies, and a hip-shaking show to get people on their feet. Whisky and Women play cajun music, old time, rocking Irish folk songs, and upbeat originals inspired by everything from country to punk, all with plenty of spirit. The ladies are just back from another European tour, and celebrating the release of their new CD “Medicine for the Blues.”
