

The Accordion Pops Orchestra presented a concert on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ.

The recent Pops Orchestra Concert was dedicated to the memory of Eugene DeBellis. Featured soloist, Gia Ciccone performed “Hungarian Dance #4” and “Two Guitars.” The spring concert also featured soloist Suzana Beites on accordion, John Andrews on harmonica, and Bianca Jeremiah on sax. Conductor Al Terzo surprised the audience (and the orchestra as well) with two virtuoso accordion solos. The audience was jumping in their seats when the orchestra played “Hits of the 50’s,” a medley arranged by Mr. Terzo.
The APO was pleased to present an award to the family of the late Eugene DeBellis, our former assistant conductor, in honor of his contributions to the accordion community.The afternoon concluded with a standing ovation for the orchestra and soloists.
