New Accordionists and Teacher Guild, International President, Dee Langley, the members of the ATG Executive Committee, ATG Board of Directors and the ATG Festival/Competition Committee invite you to attend ‘Accordion Renaissance’ presented by the Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International, August 13-15 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A few of the many highlights of the “Renaissance'” festival include a special exhibit of historical free-reed instruments by Dr. Helmi Harrington, curator of the World of Accordions Museum, on-site accordion repair and appraisal provided by Castle Accordion, Randy McPeck, and a hands-on educational session with the V-Accordion (virtual, reedless) by Roland Corporation.

The Accordionists and Teachers Guild, International was established in 1940 by a group of 29 founding members (including ATG President Emeritus, the late Anthony Galla-Rini) with the purpose of furthering the progress of the accordion by improving teaching standards, music, and all phases of music education. “Accordion Renaissance” will continue with this mission offering competitions, educational workshops, concerts, forums, displays, and professional performances on button box, concertina, chromatic and piano accordions, and electronic v-accordions.

The 2009 ATG Competition and Festival “Accordion Renaissance” will be held August 13-15, 2009 at the Hilton Minneapolis/St.Paul Airport Mall of America, 3800 American Boulevard East, Bloomington (Minneapolis), MN.
