For the 340th Birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach. which was on March 21, musicians around the world united to perform in subways and public spaces, both day and night, to share their love of music and the composer.
Local San Francisco Bay Area musicians had the opportunity to share their music at Bay Area Rapid Transit Stations, (BART) during the week of March 21-31, 2025. Though playing Bach was not mandatory, providing great music was the goal.
Accordion Club volunteer leaders, Joseph Ernest Martin and Colette Ogata, shared their joy of the accordion by playing classical accordion favorites at the East Bay Hayward BART Station to appreciative commuters.

Colette is the President of the Silicon Valley Accordion Society, and Joseph is a volunteer leader for the San Francisco Accordion Club. KCBS All News Radio sent a reporter to cover the musical event and interview Colette and Joseph, as well as commuters who loved having live music as part of their travels.
What a great way to create positive accordion outreach for our communities!
