Welcome to the February 2013 USA News. It is a new year and it will be a busy year of exciting accordion activities.

First of all, the 66th Coupe Mondiale will be held this summer in Victoria, BC. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to combine the love of the accordion and travel to a beautiful part of the world, right near us!

Do not forget to watch the 55th Annual Grammy Awards which will take place Feb. 10, 2013 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. Like the nominations, CBS will broadcast the awards show. According to the Grammys, the award telecast brought in 39.9 million viewers last year — the largest TV audience since 1984. The Twitterverse counted 160,341 tweets per minute during the broadcast.

Let’s see if Mumford & Sons and Hunter Hayes bring honor to the accordion with a Grammy Award. See more information in the January 2013 USA News.
