The Long Island Accordion Alliance (LIAA) on January 5, 2022 ushered in the new year with another very successful evening of great accordion music at La Villini Restaurant in East Northport, NY. The featured guest artist for the evening was accordionist Frank Toscano who recently was featured in the movie “The Many Saints of Newark.”

Frank presented a very diverse program performed in “his very original and unique style.” The program included “Chitarra Romana” (“Roman Guitar”), “Wave”, “Nearness for You”, “Volare”, “Reginella Campagnola” (“Ferry Boat Serenade”) and “No More Blues”.  Frank was also joined by accordionist Dominic Karcic in the renditions of “Valzer Francaise”, “Girl From Ipanema”, “Manha De Carnaval”, “Happy Dreamer Waltz” and “El Pastiador” “Paso Doble”.

The “open-mic” segment of the evening included great sets performed Joe Campo, Joe DeClemente, Lino Guglielmo and Gregory Zukoff.

The next meeting of the Long Island Accordion Alliance (LIAA) will take place on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 starting at 6:PM and will feature the very entertaining Scandinavian ensemble “Smorgasband.” Reservations are recommended.
