

“The Water Jug” (“La Giara”) a novel by Patricia Haddad King was presented on Friday March 31, 2017 at the World Cafe Live, in Philadelphia, with the new book release and signing.
The evening included a musical drama based on the book set in concert form and merges Italian folk music, jazz and opera, with a Brazilian Choro influence. It is a true story beautifully written about the family of Patricia Haddad King.
The expanded cast featured five excellent singers: John Nicholas Peters, Maria Damore, Tasha Waters, Steve Carrasco, and Joelle Teeter who told the story in song and prose along with the Minas ensemble: Patricia (piano), Orlando (guitar), Jim Stager (bass).
Accordionist Joseph Soprani added accordion in many of the selections where appropriate.
