On Wednesday, August 1, 2018 the Long Island Accordion Alliance (LIAA) celebrated its eighth anniversary at La Villini Restaurant, 286 Larkfield Road, East Northport, NY 11731. Once again the LIAA event had a capacity crowd of accordion fans who were entertained by LIAA members and also by the featured guest artists – Mario Tacca and Mary Mancini.

Mario, who never disappoints, contributed several really great accordion solos to his portion of the program – Czardas, El Relicario, Perles de Cristal and Babushka. Mary performed great versions of Ciribiribin, Sway, Hallelujah, Hymn A L’Amour, Nessun Dorma and America the Beautiful. Also on the program was accordionist Fred Schwinger who performed two duets with Mario. It was truly another “stellar event” for the LIAA and another great night for “accordion music on Long Island.”
Over the last eight years the LIAA has brought some of the greatest accordionists to its meetings and as a result built up a fan base that turns out consistently for its monthly events.

The next meeting of the Long Island Accordion Alliance (LIAA) will take place on Wednesday, September 5th at La Villini Restaurant and will feature guest artist accordionist Fabio Lucarelli.
