Stas Venglevski and Tatyana Krasnobaeva in September Concerts

Stas Venglevski shares, “Tatyana Krasnobaeva and I will bring acclaim to the dulcimer and accordion this fall as we make our way throughout the beautiful midwestern cities of Wisconsin and Michigan. The concert takes place on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:PM.

This program is an exciting array of eclectic musical selections from composers worldwide, from John Williams, Manuel de Falla, Gaetano Donizetti, Caude Thomain, and folk music from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania!”
The exceptional Stas Venglevski returns to The Pine Performance Center with dulcimer virtuoso, Tatyana Krasnobaeva, in a unique concert of traditional Russian folk favorites, classical and original compositions. Don’t miss your chance to see two world class musicians on The Pine stage!

Stas is an accordionist, a musician, an arranger, an entertainer and a teacher. Stas’ repertoire includes his original compositions, a broad range of classical, contemporary and ethnic music. He has toured extensively as a soloist throughout the former Soviet Union, Canada, Europe, and the United States, including numerous performances with Doc Severinsen, Steve Allen and with Garrison Keillor on the Prairie Home Companion Show.
Additionally, he has performed with symphony orchestras throughout the United States. He performed the world premiere of “Concerto No. 2” by Anthony Galla-Rini and also the world premiere of “Bayan and Beyond”, composed for Stas by Dan Lawitts. He is a regular participant with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Arts in Community Education Program (ACE); has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra; has done television commercials and performed in theater productions; produced 15 acclaimed albums including a transcription of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite for Bayan” as well as one of original compositions.

Tatyana is a graduate of the Belarusian State Academy of Music. Her beautiful instrument, the cimbalom, dates back to the 16th century in Belarus and is famous for its unique silvery timbre, making it universal for playing any music genre from Baroque to folk and contemporary.
