Well known performer Steve Albini recently gave a private performance at the residence of Hollywood film producer and director Francis Ford Coppola.

Steve later commented, “I had a great performance today at Mr. and Mrs. Coppola’s. I performed a program of Italian music with a few Latin and American standards. I used my FR-7X and Concerto accordions. Besides the Coppolas and their family, I performed for about eighty people including Nicolas Cage, Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, Carrot Top and George Lucas. I was very happy with how it all turned out”.

IL Sole featuring Steve Albini and Tatiana Semichastnova will be appearing at the San Diego Sicilian Festival on May 18. The duo has been performing together since 2011.

Tatiana is a former Cirque Du Soliel accordionist and former student of Friedrich Lips at the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow. Tatiana performs regularly at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. Steve has been with Roland Corp. U.S. since 2010. When not traveling with Tatiana or for Roland, he performs weekly at the Francis Ford Coppola winery, in Geyserville, CA. Steve also works as a studio musician in the San Francisco Bay Area. He can be heard on recordings by musicians such as cellist Marcie Brown. Steve will be appearing this summer at both the AAA and ATG festivals.
