The Connecticut Acccordion Association began in 2004, the brainchild of Marilyn O’Neil and her accordion teacher, Mary Tokarski. The CAA is dedicated to the promotion of the accordion through all music genres and all variations of accordion instruments! CAA welcomes musicians who play all types of accordions….piano accordion, diatonic, chromatic button and more. Accordionists at all levels are invited to join, and people who may not play the accordion, but love to listen.
The CAA Orchestra began in 2004 under the direction of Linda Soley-Reed, former President of the American Accordionists’ Association. The orchestra made its debut at Seven Angels Theatre in Waterbury in February of 2005 and has performed in and out of state since its inception.
